The BlackLight Collective is a group of film industry professionals working to bridge the gap between BIPOC filmmakers and the crew that share their vision and passion for the project. You should be able to crew your film with trained professionals in the field that come from the same neighborhoods you are shooting in. The BLC is both a film production training and job placement program. We train, test and rank our members in order to ensure that our clients are getting the best person for the job. Participants can receive training that they would only get after completing years of film school; without the student loan debt. One can hit the ground running in the film industry grip and electric departments and earn a living wage upon completion of the program.
